THE NEED TO IMPROVE TOURISM BUSINESS ETHICS

Holding a republican seminar under the following title at the Scientific and Research Institute of Tourism and Entrepreneurship under the State University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship On January 31, 2025, within the framework of the implementation of the Plan for holding scientific and scientific-technical events of the Scientific and Research Institute of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, a republican scientific and theoretical seminar was held dedicated to the implementation of the Message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, on the topic “The need to improve the ethics of tourism entrepreneurship”. Representatives of the leadership of the University, higher professional educational institutions, travel companies, hotels, restaurants, guides, management and employees of the Scientific and Research Institute of Tourism and Entrepreneurship took part in the work of this seminar. The scientific event began with an introductory speech by the Director of the Institute, Professor I.R. Ibrohimzoda. Mavsuf noted that the sustainable development of the tourism industry is closely related to improving the level of service, compliance with professional ethics and professional relations with clients. He also emphasized that ethical values ​​in tourism entrepreneurship, including honesty, respect for customers, social responsibility and professionalism, should be the main component of the activities of entrepreneurs and tourism companies. In particular, the implementation of the instructions and guidelines of the Great Leader of the Nation, which he delivered during his regular Address to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, in the direction of developing domestic tourism, was emphasized, including improving the tourism culture of tourism companies, tourism infrastructure and the development of ethnic tourism in the country's regions. At the same time, the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Zoirzoda I.S., during his speech, pointed out the importance of scientific research in the development of tourism culture and improving the level of service in the sector. He noted that relevant scientific institutes and research centers should conduct in-depth analyses and propose effective ways to improve professional ethics and morals. At this seminar, the head of the department for the implementation of scientific results in practice of the Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management of the Tajik National University, associate professor Madiev Saadihoja and the head of the psychology department of the Tajik National University, associate professor Saidzoda Bahrullo Khol made scientific reports, explained and interpreted the scientific, theoretical and psychological aspects of the culture of tourism entrepreneurship, and made suggestions for its improvement. During the seminar, scientific reports were heard on the issues of developing a culture of service, the role of business ethics in attracting tourists, compliance with international tourism standards, and the social aspects of tourism entrepreneurship. Experts and representatives of the private sector shared their experience and suggestions for improving professional relations in the field. It is worth noting that holding such scientific seminars makes a significant contribution to strengthening scientific ties, introducing new proposals, and expanding cooperation between higher education institutions and the private sector. Based on the results of the republican scientific-practical seminar, proposals will be sent to relevant ministries and committees.
